WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League coaches met recently to vote on All-Stars for the 2021 season.

The Wakefield High football team, who concluded their season with a 21-13 victory over Melrose in the 61st Thanksgiving game, had four All-Stars make the list. The three senior captains were all named All-Stars: Chris Amyouny (OL/DL), Bryan Lynch (WR/DB) and Leo Yardumian (RB/LB).

Junior Ian Dixon (TE/DE) made the list for the second season in a row.

Yardumian led the Warriors with 16 touchdowns this season. He rushed for over 1,100 yards and 13 TD’s while also adding a receiving TD and two interception returns for scores.

Lynch had three receiving touchdowns and had a strong season alongside Yardumian at linebacker. Lynch also had two pick six’s this year.

Amyouny led a talented Warrior offensive and defensive line. The tackle was a force on both sides of the ball.

Dixon shifted to tight end this season and became one of Wakefield’s best playmakers with three TD’s. He continued to wreck game plans on the other side of the ball as a defensive end with multiple sacks and tackles for loss.

Wakefield finished fourth in the Freedom Division with a 2-3 league record to go with an overall record of 6-4. Stoneham was first with a league record of 5-0, followed by Wilmington at 4-1, Watertown at 3-2, Wakefield, Melrose at 1-4 and Burlington at 0-5.

Reading won the Liberty Division with a 5-0 record followed by Woburn (4-1), Arlington (2-3), Belmont (2-3), Lexington (1-4) and Winchester (1-4).
