Key figure at Hillview

NORTH READING – The O’Rourke family gathered at the Hillview Golf Course to celebrate the life of their brother Walter on Sunday June 9th.
They were joined by 100 of Walter’s family and friends in a Memorial golf tournament.
Walter was an integral force in the Hillview as the Town Historian regarding the property. He also became a member of the management’s staff, and always was the force behind passing on the game of golf to a younger generation.
The creation and awarding of three scholarships this year from the tournament speaks to Walter’s respect for the youth working at the Hillview.
The family has entrusted Chris Carter the PGA pro at the Hillview to be the custodian of Walter’s legacy in golf.
The family is grateful to all participants, and for keeping Walter’s passion for golf instilled in our youth.
The awarding of Scholarships has now passed $5200 in Walter’s name.
