LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is proud to announce the next artist demonstration in its 51st anniversary season will feature local watercolorist Paula Jean Kulas on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m at the Lynnfield Senior Center, 525 Salem St.
Kulas is a well-known watercolor artist who has received numerous Best in Shows from both shows and juried exhibitions all over New England.
With a degree in biology, she subscribes to John Muir’s belief about being outdoors in nature: “For my part, I should like to stay here … all my life or even all eternity.” Kulas paints in order to inspire others to seek the transformational experience of the wilderness.
The artist has shown her work in and taught technique at the Peabody Essex Museum. She gives private lessons in watercolor and teaches watercolor classes for the Peabody Recreation Department.
The public is invited to join the Guild members for this demonstration of art with refreshments and artistic company for $5. Membership in the LAG, which includes free attendance at all demonstrations and the ability to participate in the December and spring shows, is open to crafts people, photographers and artists, with student and family memberships available.
For further information about LAG membership please call Jane Booras, membership coordinator, at 781-334-4374.
