SPRINGFIELD, MO — William Edward Griffin, of Springfield, Missouri, died Sunday, August 22. He was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts, the son of the late Joseph A. and Eileen Jarvis Griffin.
He is survived by his wife Gae (Slavens); a son Patrick J. and his wife Erin; grandchildren Patrick W., Quinn and Noah Griffin of Wakefield, Massachusetts; sisters Elise Jackson and Lauren Griffin; many cousins and friends; and faithful companion Riley.
He was pre-deceased by his brother Patrick J. and son David.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, September 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private and held at a later day.
