WAKEFIELD — The WMHS varsity dance team will be holding a middle school dance clinic. These clinics are open to all students in grades five through eight.
There is still time and space to sign up for Session 2. Session 2 will be held on Friday, April 22; Saturday, April 23; Friday, April 29; and Saturday, April 30. Friday sessions are from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday sessions are from 9 a.m.-noon.
These clinics will be held in the Wakefield Memorial High School upstairs gym.
Dancers will be working on technique, dance team style skills and gain experience with pom and kick — two major components of high school and college dance teams.
These dance clinics are a great opportunity for middle school students who are interested in seeing what the WMHS varsity dance team is all about as well as further their study of dance. These clinics will also help dancers become familiar with the style of high school/college dance team, as it does differ from studio dance.
