WATERTOWN — For a young Warrior wrestling team, Saturday’s season opener at Watertown High School was a terrific confidence booster as Wakefield posted a pair of wins over Carver and Waltham in a double dual meet.

The Warriors defeated Carver by a 36-24 score and flattened Waltham by a 53-12 tally.

Wakefield is 2-0 on the season and even though the meet was held at Watertown High School, the Warriors won’t wrestle the Red Raiders in dual meet competition until later in the season.
