Veteran DJ Carter Alan traded his radio studio for the Flint Memorial Library last week, as he took a packed audience behind the scenes of more than four decades of rock concerts and meetings with legendary musicians. Alan, author of the newly released “Decibel Diaries: A Journey Through 50 Rock Concerts,” shared his personal, behind-the scenes insight of rock legends ranging from Neil Young to the Rolling Stones and U2. Following the formal program, Alan graciously answered audience questions, shared anecdotes, and posed for photos with fans. Alan’s visit was part of the library’s Gordon Ivester Speaker Series, generously funded by a gift from the estate of library patron Gordon Ivester.
