SWAMPSCOTT — The Lynnfield High baseball team earned another lopsided victory on April 17 in Swampscott. The Pioneers cruised past the Big Blue 11-3, improving to 4-1 on the season.

Lynnfield now has an average margin of victory of 9.75 runs in their four wins.

The Pioneers jumped on the home team early and never let up, pounding 10 hits, led by junior Madux Iovinelli (3 hits) and senior captain Anthony Grabau (2 hits, 5 RBI).

Iovinelli was impressive on the hill too, shutting out the Big Blue through five frames and adding five strikeouts as well.

It was Lynnfield’s third of a four-game road stretch. They traveled to undefeated Georgetown (7-0) on Tuesday after press time. The Pioneers will host Hamilton-Wenham (1-3) on Thursday at 4 p.m. and North Reading (4-2) on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
