THE PARADE ROUTE of the 4th annual North Reading Pride Ride Parade follows the route outlined in red. Each star represents a cheering section where friends, family and allies may gather to cheer on the riders. Event begins and ends at Ipswich River Park. Vehicle line-up in dirt lot starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 23. Parade begins at noon followed by music and entertainment at IRP. Bring your own picnic lunch and chairs.

 

NORTH READING — The community is invited to participate in the 4th annual North Reading Pride Ride on Sunday, June 23 at Ipswich River Park.

Organizer Francine Coughlin invites anyone who wishes to ride in the parade to email her at fdichiara@mac.com to register their vehicle. As in past years, the decorated vehicles will line up in the dirt parking lot at Ipswich River Park, 15 Central St., beginning at 11 a.m. and the parade begins at noon and returns to the park at 12:45 p.m.

Participants will take a right out of the parking lot onto Central Street, turn right onto Park Street, turn right onto Haverhill Street at Ryer’s, turn right onto Chestnut Street and turn right onto Central Street to return to IRP.

Five cheering stations are being set up along the route and there will be police details for traffic control.

Participants are invited to enjoy music at IRP provided by Time of Your Life Entertainment and bring their own picnic lunch to enjoy. “Local resources for our LGBTQIA+ community and allies will be present and our drag entertainers, Bella Luna and Zest, hosted by Clara Divine, will be performing at the gazebo at 12:45 p.m.,” Coughlin said.
