NORTH READING — Arthur F. Bashore, of North Reading, passed away May 27. He was born on April 18, 1930 in Newmanstown, PA to the late Adam and Elizabeth Bashore.
Arthur was the beloved husband of 64 years to Jean (Willis) Bashore and the loving father of Dennis Bashore and his wife Bertha of Lowell, Patricia Tortorella of North Reading, Elaina Bashore, the wife of the late Stephen Bashore of Lynn, Scott Bashore and his wife Bronwyn of Newburyport and Susan Rynne and her husband Michael of North Reading. He was the brother of the late Benjamin and Matthew Bashore and the late Gloria McDermott and the cherished grandfather of Adam Bashore, Matthew Bashore, Michael Tortorella, Erica Porter, Marisa Bashore, Jessica Bashore, Christopher Bashore, Benjamin Bashore, Stephanie Rynne and Steven Rynne and the adored great–grandfather of Mikayla, Gavyn, Jaidyn, Ashlynn, Bryson, Daniel, Alex, Avery and Violet.
Arthur was a proud retired USAF Sargent and spent 17 years working at John Hancock of Boston. His funeral services were held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. North Reading on Monday June 1. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
