MIDDLETON — On Sunday afternoon, the Lynnfield-North Reading-Danvers High co-op gymnastics team improved to 3-0 as they beat visiting Marblehead, 146.65- 124.5, at Yellow Jackets Gymnastics Club in Middleton.

The Falcons captured first, second and third place in all four events against the Magicians.

“We had a great start to our season on Saturday night and an even better outcome on Sunday,” said Falcons head coach Jen Habeeb. “We’re pleased with the way we competed and are looking forward to an exciting season.”

Eighth-grader, Kaylee Wescott, led the way in wins with three as she had a 9.7 on the bars, 9.8 in the vault and a 9.8 on the floor exercise. Her sister, Maddie, led the team in the all-around with a 36.55 as the sophomore captain had third-place finishes in the vault (9.15),bars (9.3) and balance beam (9.0).  Maddie Migliero was second in the vault (9.65), floor (9.65) and beam (9.1) as she finished second in the all-around with a 35.6. Camryn Donovan was first on the beam (9.45), second on the bars (9.5) and third on the floor (9.55).

In the season opener the night before, also at Yellow Jackets, the Falcons swept both Beverly and Essex Tech. The Falcons had a final score of 145.55. Beverly was second with 127.15 and Essex Tech was third at 109.55.

Kaylee Wescott had a memorable debut winning all four events against both teams as she had an all-around score of 38.35. She had a 9.65 on the floor, a 9.6 on the beam, a 9.5 on the bars and a 9.6 in the vault.

Migliero, a Lynnfield freshman, was second in the vault (9.5) and on the floor (9.5) against both schools.

Donovan, another Lynnfield ninth-grader, was second in the all-around with a 36.4. She was second on the bars (9.4), and she tied Maddie Wescott for second on the beam (9.0).

Donovan had those places against both teams.

The first road meet for the Falcons will be on Friday night (Jan. 13) as they take on Winthrop at 7 p.m. That event will take place at the Winthrop Gymnastics Academy.
