Yard-sale-fall-webMELROSE — The date is almost here! The third City Wide Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., rain or shine.

Households across the city are participating in this wonderful event which the Melrose Friends of the Aging is sponsoring to raise money for the Milano Senior Center. If you are interested in being a part of this, the last date to submit an application in order to be shown on the street map which will show each yard sale by resident’s address, is Sunday, September 13. The Friends of the Aging will have a booth at the Victorian Fair on September 13th so come on down to the Victorian Fair, come to the booth the Friends of the Aging will be staffing, and complete an application. At the same time, the tax-deductible, non-refundable donation of $25.00 to Melrose Friends of the Aging must be paid.

Prior to September 13th, applications are available on line at melrosefriendsofaging@gmail.com, the Milano Center at 201 West Foster Street from 8:30 am until 4 pm weekdays, City Hall, Melrose Public Library and Edward Jones Investments at 502 Main Street. All applications together with payment, should be mailed to or dropped off at the Council on Aging office located on the first floor of the Beebe House, 235 West Foster Street.

Prior to the yard sales, maps highlighting all the locations will be mailed to each participant, and extra copies may be picked up at the same locations as the applications. We thank all our

participants in advance for their interest and support. Working together with residents having a yard sale and those of us working with the Melrose Senior Center is a win-win situation!
