LYNNFIELD — The Friends of the Lynnfield Library (FOLL) is holding its two-day Fall Book sale on Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30.

The FOLL Members Preview Sale will take place on Friday, Sept. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Meeting House. Residents can join FOLL at the door. The General Public Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Meeting House. Venmo, checks and Paypal will be accepted.

“The Friend’s book sale is their biggest fundraiser, providing significant support for our library and our community,” said Friends of the Lynnfield Library Co-President Anne Malenfant. “Have you ever used a library museum pass? These discounted passes are thanks to the Friends of the Lynnfield Library. Two-thirds of all library programming is funded by the Friends of the Lynnfield Library. This includes the wildly popular weekly virtual yoga class, Bill Sano lectures, adult workshops, kid and teen activities, as well as the summer reading program, its kickoff and end of challenge prizes.”

Only books in excellent condition will be sold.

“This is a great opportunity to add to your home library or book collection at prices you can’t get off Amazon,” said Malenfant.  “Books start at just $1 and up to $5 for our beautiful coffee table books.”

Malenfant said The Friends will be joined by many community groups, including the Historical Society providing free refreshments and a bake sale, Citizen’s Inn and the Scouts selling their beautiful wreaths. The library will also be holding a “Let Freedom Read” event, and the event will also include MarketStreet Lynnfield, the Lynnfield Moms Group and so much more.

“Do you have books you need to clear out to make space? Good news, the Friends are taking donations,” said Malenfant. “Drop off during normal business hours at the library.”
