TOPSFIELD — D. Jean Lambe, 93, of Topsfield, formerly of Middleton, Concord and Naples, Florida, loving wife of the late Harry William Lambe for 54 years, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29, 2024.
Jean was born on March 11, 1931 in Cheektowaga, New York, and she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Betty (Little) Kobler. She was predeceased by her brothers Larry, Richard, Robert and Norman. Jean was the devoted mother of Robert (Betsy) of Topsfield and Chris (Susan) of Lynnfield. She was proud grandmother of Ian (Jenna) of Amesbury; Sarah of Lynn; Jeffrey of Derry, New Hampshire; and Stephen and his fiancée Priya of Somerville; her sister-in-law Patricia of West Seneca, New York; and many nieces and nephews.
Upon marriage, Jean moved to Massachusetts with Harry and became a longtime resident of Concord, where she raised her children. She served as the administrative assistant at the Thoreau School and later at Thor Realty. Besides being an active member of Trinitarian Congregational Church, the Milldames and the Concord Country Club, Jean had a passion for gardening and shopping. Jean also loved to travel worldwide with her husband on business and pleasure and especially enjoyed moving her family to Algeria while Harry was on temporary assignment. Jean found much happiness in her later years entertaining her many friends at her home in Naples, Florida.
Interment will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord. As requested, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215. Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord is handling the arrangements.
