A great display of holiday generosity

WAKEFIELD CO-OPERATIVE BANK recently held its annual holiday toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots at its 342 Main St., Wakefield, and 596 Main St., Lynnfield offices. The bank ended up collecting approximately 300 toys between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve with the help of staff, local residents and businesses and Summer Street Elementary School in Lynnfield. U.S. Marine Corps Reserve ‘Toys for Tots’ program was established in 1995 as a means of providing gifts to less fortunate youngsters during the holiday season every year. Pictured here are employees at the bank’s 342 Main St. office participating in a recent Jeans Day, where staff was invited to wear jeans to work in exchange for a donation to purchase toys for the drive.
