DANVERS — Dorothy “Ann” (Joyce) Kelly of Danvers died on Dec. 31, 2015, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her loved ones present.

She was the wife of the late Martin Michael Kelly.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1927, in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Gaudette) Joyce. She attended Everett High School and graduated in 1945.

Ann’s career started at Avis Car Leasing where she worked for five years. She then worked at Hertz Car leasing for 15 years as manager of operations. She loved gardening, reading and crossword puzzles as well as playing classical music on the piano.

She recently took guitar lessons and hoped to learn the violin.

She and her husband shared a witty sense of humor and great love that they passed onto their family.

She married Martin Michael Kelly on April 29, 1950 and they had five children: Kathleen Kelly and her husband Bob Harris of Plaistow, N.H., Maureen Cronin of Portland, Ore., Martin Michael Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Hendersonville, N.C., Shelagh Lord and her husband Richard of Wakefield, as well as her deceased son, Sean Joseph Kelly and his wife Dawn Goforth-Kelly, who lives in South Carolina. She had 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters Janice Green of PEI, Germaine Joyce of Concord, N.H., Maryjane Komisarek of Manchester, N.H. and William Joyce and his wife Lynda of Tennessee. She was also the sister of the late Diane Judith Joyce of New Hampshire.

Ann’s funeral Mass will be held in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield, on Jan. 16, at 11:30. Relatives and friends invited.
