Obitfoley-webWAKEFIELD — Adele R. Foley, 87, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, died at her home on Friday, Jan. 15.

Born in Everett on Nov. 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Taswell B. and Anastasia (Broderick) Amiss.

Adele was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1946. An active member of the community, she was a member of the Wakefield Historical Society, The Garden Club, the Wakefield Arts & Crafts, Pride in Wakefield and the Hartshorne House.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting and gardening.

Adele is survived by her son James W. Foley Jr. and his wife Rose Marie and her daughter Cynthia Beechin and her husband Edward Beechin Jr., all of Wakefield. She is also survived by her siblings: Gertrude Gray of Florida, Carol Gibbons of Chelmsford and the late T. Brooke Amiss and Mae Broderick. Also survived by her three grandchildren, Edward R. Beechin III, Anastasia Beechin and Ashley R. Foley.

Her funeral services were
private. Interment was held at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Arrangements were in the care
of McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
