OBIT_Lauzon,-Gertrude-Louise-webLYNNFIELD — Gertrude Louise (Condon) Lauzon, 93, of Lynnfield, died Monday, April 11, 2016. She was the wife of the late Leo D. Lauzon. Born and raised in Salem on Sept. 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Rooney) Condon. She had lived in Lynn for many years and had resided in Lynnfield for over 25 years. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Salem.

Louise had worked as a clerk for the City of Lynn Health Department for 25 years until her retirement in 1985. After her retirement, she worked as a sales associate at Sears in Peabody from 1989–2004. An active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, she attended daily Mass for many years. She loved her church and was a member of the social club there. Her greatest joy was her family, and they remember her as a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, Nana and Great-Nana.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger L. Lauzon and his wife Nancy of Peabody and Richard A. Lauzon and his wife Dorrie of Lynnfield; four grandchildren, Robin Farrell and her husband Liam of Vermont, Barry Lauzon of Peabody, Brian Lauzon and his wife Amanda of Pennsylvania, and Beth Winn and her husband Chris of Marshfield; four great-grandchildren, Meredith and Owen Lauzon, and Ryan and Brendan Winn, as well as several nieces and nephews including Marilyn Windsor and Ann Berard. She was the sister of the late Jack Condon and Marie Josephson. The family would like to thank the caretakers at Rosewood Nursing Home for the tremendous care given to Louise over the past two years.

Her visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
