Retired carpenter enjoyed hunting

LONDONDERRY, NH — William T. Mahan Sr., 87, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, and formerly of Stoneham died on Monday, January 23.
Born in Pittsfield on April 13, 1929, he was the son of the late James F. and Mildred (Tymeson) Mahan.
Mr. Mahan was raised and educated in North Reading. He had been a Stoneham resident for 44 years. Mr. Mahan was a retired carpenter for the old New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham.
He enjoyed golf, hunting and gardening. Mr. Mahan was a lifelong member of the N.R.A.
He was the husband of the late Lucy M. (Carozza) Mahan. Mr. Mahan is survived by his two sons William T. Mahan, Jr., and his wife Donna of Londonderry, NH and John Mahan and his wife Anne Marie of Hollis, NH; his four grandchildren: Keri, Ryan, Sean and wife Mary and Caity, and his two sisters Sandra Bryer of No. Reading and Lois Grace of FL. He was predeceased by his sister Teresa Kalil and his four brothers Herbert Mahan, Richard Mahan, Robert Mahan and James Mahan.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
