WAKEFIELD —Two members of the Wakefield Memorial High girls’ swim team were named 2014 Middlesex League All-Stars as the M.L. coaches met recently to make this year’s selections.
Senior Shannon Quirk and junior Madison Guay were the two Warriors selected.
Quirk is a freestyler and captured first in both the 200 and 500 freestyles at the M.L. meet.
Guay secured a fifth place in the 200 freestyle at the M.L. meet and came in ninth in the 100 butterfly at the league meet.
Belmont and Lexington led the way with seven swimmers each chosen as all-stars.
Winchester had four all-stars selected, Melrose had three, Stoneham had two and Burlington, Reading, and Woburn each had one all-star named.
