WALPOLE — Doris E. Sweezey, 86, formerly of Wakefield, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Harrington House in Walpole.

She was the daughter of the late William and Edith (McAllister) Small.

Doris was born in Malden on November 4, 1930, and was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1948. She was a full-time mother and also was a bookkeeper for various businesses. She was an active “Super Nana” who enjoyed camping, hiking, bike riding, traveling and sewing. She was a former longtime resident of Wakefield.

She was the beloved mother of George H. Sweezey II of Mansfield and his late wife Jodie, Dianne Nelson and her husband Carlyle of Newtown, CT, Scott Sweezey and his wife Trisha of Webster, NH and Carl Sweezey and his wife Kathy of Naples, ME. She was the loving grandmother of Lauren DuBreuil and her husband Dan and Kory and Kyle Sweezey. She was the great-grandmother of Henry DuBreuil. Sister of the late George Small.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, August 9, at 11 a.m. at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
