WAKEFIELD — Focused Fitness with Sue, a local personal training and fitness company, will host the Third Annual Quannapowitt Paddle Battle.
The Paddle Battle is a stand-up paddleboard race on the picturesque waters of Lake Quannapowitt. This year, the Paddle Battle will consist of a five-mile sprint competition for the advanced paddler, a shorter 2.5-mile recreational competition for the beginner or intermediate paddler and an even shorter one mile “I just want to try it to say I did it” paddle.
Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in the five-mile and 2.5-mile competitions.
The QPB continues to grow and is a family fun event on the shores of the Lake with a perfect view of the racers in action. Spectators can enjoy a day of sun, music, games, food and vendors.
Each year, a percentage of the proceeds is donated to local organizations. In the past, the QPB has been happy to support the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt and Wakefield Recreation. By participating in this event you are supporting organizations that are dedicated to serving our community.
