They will be joined by groups from surrounding towns, including the Saugus High School Sachimes, Salem High School’s WitchPitch?, both directed by Anna Morsillo, and North Reading High School’s NOTEorious, directed by Allison Kane. The concert on Sunday is in preparation for the groups’ quarterfinal competition at the International Championship of High School A Cappella, sponsored by Varsity Vocals and hosted by the Wakefield High School Music Department and Wakefield Music Boosters, which will take place on Saturday, February 11th at the Galvin Middle School Auditorium at 7pm. Three quarterfinal competitions will be held around the Northeast region, with 25 groups competing to advance to the semifinal round in March.
