LYNNFIELD — A Healthy Lynnfield presented several awards during the Annual Meeting at the Meeting House on Oct. 23.
A Healthy Lynnfield Chair Phil Crawford began the meeting by thanking Diana DeLeo, the organization’s new director for organizing the event before reflecting on how far the organization has progressed since it was formed in 2017. He recognized recently retired Program Director Peg Sallade for her instrumental work in building the coalition into the multi-faceted organization it is today during her six years as director.
State Sen. Brendan Crighton (D-Lynn) praised Sallade for her leadership before presenting her with a citation from the State Senate to recognize her work on behalf of A Healthy Lynnfield.
“The best way you can honor my work here is to continue to volunteer and continue your work and expertise,” said Sallade. “I think we have a great foundation as I pass the baton to Diana. I know she will be great and continue this important work.”
