BOSTON — On Customer Appreciation Day, Friday, April 24, all MBTA services will be free of charge all day.

A total of 16 MBTA partners are also contributing to Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, by providing T customers with one-day offers and discounts when they show a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket. The partners include cultural attractions, retail stores and food outlets.

“I hope to see a lot of people take advantage of this unique opportunity to use the MBTA free of charge,” said Secretary of Transportation and MassDOT CEO Stephanie Pollack. “We have partnered with our friends in the business community to offer T users some affordable and entertaining activities throughout the region.”

The MBTA is also offering 15 percent discounts on weekly and monthly passes in May to show appreciation for customers choosing to take the T. Passes for May are on sale now.
