Alma-Ricciardelli-obit-webMELROSE — Alma F. (Trottier) Ricciardelli, 82, of Melrose, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Feb. 11, 2017.

Alma was born in Boston, raised in Roxbury and attended Roxbury schools. She was a homemaker and resided in East Boston for 13 years and the past 48 years in Melrose. Alma was a wonderful, strong willed social person who enjoyed reading, crossword and word puzzles. She loved the “Little Joy’s in Life,” and enjoyed putting on family barbecues and holiday parties. Alma’s family and grandchildren were the most important part of her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. “Chick” Ricciardelli for 55 years. She was the loving mother of Anthony Ricciardelli and his wife Ann of North Carolina; and Joanne Cannarozzo of Melrose. She was the cherished grandmother of Lauren and her husband Chris; Juliana; Rachel & her husband Joseph; Elise and her partner Camille; Carmen; and Gina and her husband Thales. She was the great grandmother of Evren. She was the aunt of Denise Belgiorno of Revere. She was the lifelong friend of Margaret and the late Charles Scimone of Melrose. She was the former mother-in-law of the late Thomas Cannarozzo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alma’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
