Longtime Wakefield resident

 

WOLFEBORO, N.H. — Alma Rebecca (Bradbury) Thistle, a longtime Wakefield resident, made her journey home in the company of her children on Monday, March 9.
She was a long time resident of Wakefield before moving to Wolfeboro, N.H. in 1995. Most recently she resided at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen, N.H.
Born May 27, 1929, Alma was the youngest of three daughters born to George and Alma (Snow) Bradbury of Chelsea.
She was predeceased by husband of 61 years, Harry G. Thistle, in 2010.
Survivors include her children Lynda L. Thistle Elliott and husband Ward Elliott of Concord, N.H., Robert B. Thistle and wife Priscilla of Naples, Fla., George C. Thistle and wife Karen of Wakefield and William H. Thistle and wife Lauren of Melrose.
Mrs. Thistle also leaves behind six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family wishes to extent their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Merrimack Country Nursing Home, SCU for the compassionate and loving care given to Alma.
Committal services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 13 in the Chapel at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, N.H.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
