Daher-obit-webMELROSE — Amale (Talhouk) Daher, 67,of Melrose passed away peacefully on May 5 surrounded by family.
Amale was born in Beirut, Lebanon on April 16, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Said Talhouk and is survived by her mother Yvonne. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 and she has lived in Melrose for the past 29 years.
Amale loved to travel and spending time with her husband and family, especially her five grandchildren. She loved to decorate and create a warm and inviting home. Her kind heart and gentle spirit will be missed by all.
Amale leaves behind her beloved husband Sam of 39 years and her three daughters — Grace Milner and her husband Will, Monique Stewart and her husband Craig and Charlotte Daher de Garcia and her husband Alberto. She is survived by her brother Amine and his wife Mary of Orlando, Fla. and her brother Assaad and his wife Amy of Melrose. She was the proud teta to Olivia, Eva and Jacob Milner, Ana Isabel Garcia and Brooklyn Stewart. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Amy Hvizdak, Adam and Abigail Talhouk, Eline Daher Mattouk, Elias and Estelle Daher and Samar and Sarah Sawaya.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Sunday, May 8, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:30 a.m.
Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
