Graduated from MHS in 2009

PEABODY — Amanda M. Medeiros, 24, passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody, on September 21 after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Melrose on September 5, 1990, was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 2009. She was active as a cheerleader for several years while at Melrose High School.

Amanda was a student at Assumption College in Worcester, where she was working towards her degree.

She was a wonderful person with a warm personality. Amanda loved dancing, music, shopping, and cherished her best friend and loving companion Remy.

Amanda was the cherished daughter of Joseph F. Medeiros of Peabody and Judy (Introini) O’Brien and her husband Michael of Melrose. She was the beloved sister of Nicole Smith and her husband Jason of Peabody. She was the loving granddaughter of Catherine King of Somerville and Claire Introini of Framingham. She was the devoted aunt of Emily, Joseph and Jack Smith. She was the caring niece of Richard and Beth Introini, Robert Introini and his late wife Sharon, Susan and Keith MacDonald, Maureen Kamm, Theresa and Kevin Douglas, Robert Lubofsky, Carol Medeiros and Coreen and Carlo Gavino. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Friday at 11 a.m.

Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
