Loving wife, mother, grandmother had local survivors

MEDFORD — Angela J. (Matarazzo) Leona died peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital on March 31 She was 79. Raised in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angela (Giudotti) Matarazzo.

loving wife, mother and grandmotherAngela lived all of her adult life in Medford. As a younger woman she worked as a hairdresser. Once she was married and had children she devoted herself to their care. She later worked with Acme Printing Company. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of her family and friends.

The beloved wife of the late Robert F. Leona, she was a devoted mother to Debi Modugno and her husband Steve of North Reading, Karen Giorgio, Carol Fitzgerald, and Janet Leona, all of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to Ricky, Stephanie, Jessica, Jeffrey and Scotty as well as a loving great–grandmother to Giuliana. The dear sister of the late Frances Consolo, formerly of Bellevue, OH she is also survived by many dear nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, April 7 from 3 – 7 p.m. with a funeral service conducted in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.
