Loving husband and father

David-Lundell-Obit-webNORTH READING — David R. Lundell of North Reading, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016 at the age of 62. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Lavery) Lundell and devoted father to Christine Lundell of Tokyo, Japan and Jim Lundell and his wife, Carolyn of Melrose. He was the son of Patricia (Wells) Lundell and the late David Lundell, and the dear brother of Jewell Kowzan and her husband Paul of Marietta, Georgia and Alison Coleman and her husband Ed of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and the dear nephew of Jerell and Hugh Devlin of Leesburg, Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Dave was born on June 10, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up on Long Island, New York. He attended the New York Military Academy and The Hill School in Pottstown, PA. He studied Chemistry at UMass Boston and Mechanical Engineering at Merrimack College. Dave’s passion was engineering and problem solving. He worked his way up from Technician at Orion Research in Cambridge in the 1970’s to Project Manager/Staff Engineer at Dynatech Research and Development,

to Senior Mechanical Test Engineer at Textron Systems in Wilmington and finally to Senior Systems and Test Engineer at Beacon Power Corp. in Tyngsboro. He enjoyed music, boating, fishing, and travelling with his wife Anne. Dave had the keen ability to fix anything and he had a terrific sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
