WAKEFIELD — Angela M. Petrillo, 88, a longtime resident of Wakefield died at her home on Tuesday, April 26.

Born in East Boston, April 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Nunzio and Carmella (Terranova) Lombardo.

Angela was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of Fitton High School in East Boston. While in high school she excelled in academics and in the drama club, where she had many leading roles. Angela moved to Wakefield with her family in 1966. After raising her family, she became a real estate broker in the Wilmington area with Carlson and Casalot Realty.

Angela was the beloved wife of the late Gennaro J. Petrillo. She was the loving mother of Robert L. and Richard P. Petrillo, both of Wakefield; Joseph F. Petrillo and his wife Theresa of Reading and Jeanne A. McFadden and her husband William of Merrimack, N.H. She is also survived by her six loving grandchildren: Jacqueline, Lauren, Stephanie, Steven, Evan and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul A. Lombardo.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, on Monday, May 2 at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday morning prior to the Mass from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
