LYNNFIELD — Ann S. Bishop of Lynnfield died on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Formerly of Wilmington, Ann had been a Lynnfield resident for over 44 years. Mrs. Bishop spent 25 years of her life as a Real Estate professional in the towns of Winchester and Lynnfield.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years of the late Frank R. Bishop, a decorated World War II veteran. She was the devoted mother to Barbara A. Heiss and her husband Frederick W. Heiss, M.D., of Concord, Joan Bishop Fallon and her husband William E. Fallon, Jr., Esq., of Melrose, and Dale B. Schimmel, Ph.D. and her husband Gordon L. Schimmel, Ph.D. of Cataumet.
She was also the grandmother to Korbin Heiss and his wife Yvonne of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Emily G.H. Roan, M.D., and her husband Jason of Concord; Ian B. Schimmel and his wife Allison Leedie of Houston, Texas; and Andrew B. Schimmel and his wife Corey of Sherman Oaks, California. Additionally, she was the great-grandmother to Sebastian Daniel Heiss and Felix Frederick Heiss, both of New York, Christopher Frederick Roan of Concord, and Owen Franklin Schimmel-Leedie of Houston, Texas. Ann was the sister of Josephine Anderson of Dartmouth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, August 17 at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy in Ann’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Centre Congregation Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield, MA 01940, which will be greatly appreciated by her family.
