Devoted wife and mother, avid Boston sports fan

NORTH READING — Anna M. (Palladino) Gabaree of North Reading passed away peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on April 22. She was 93. Born and raised in Boston’s North End she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Giamo Brigandi) Palladino.

Anna lived in Medford, Hyde Park and Stoneham before moving to North Reading, several years ago. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved the company of her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She led a vibrant life to the end. She remained an active woman who regularly exercised and still drove. In earlier years, she loved to winter in Marco Island, Fla., where she excelled at tennis and golf. She was an avid Boston sports fan and followed the Red Sox and Patriots.

The beloved wife of the late Warren Gabaree, she was a devoted mother to Warren Gabaree Jr. and his wife Gloria of Santa Maria, Calif., Michelle Eudailey of Newburyport and Wayne Gabaree and his wife Tracy of Medford. She leaves her loving grandchildren: Jason, Courtney, Kyle, Todd, Olivia and Adam as well as her loving great–grandchildren: Christian, Sophia, Natalie and Edith Hayward. She is predeceased by her siblings Joseph Jr., William and Lillian.

Anna’s funeral was held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, April 27 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford. Services concluded with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
