AUBURNDALE — Anna M. (Gravelle) Stack, of Auburndale, formerly of Charlestown and Brighton, died Nov. 2, 2016. She was the beloved and loving wife for 69 years of the late George P. Stack. She was the devoted mother of Ann Marie Dagle and her late husband Ronald of Shrewsbury, Janice Thompson and her late husband Alexander of Norton, George Stack and his wife Carolyn of North Reading, Joseph Stack of Newton, Rosemary (Rowie) Stravinsky and her late husband Joseph of West Roxbury, Mary Connelly of Waltham, Patrick Stack and his wife Pamela of St. Louis, Mo., Robert Stack and his wife Janice of Orange, Joan Stack and partner Steven Bushey of Brighton and the late Kathleen Stack.
Anna was the loving daughter of the late Joseph N. and Mary E. (Lucas) Gravelle and the adored grandmother of Ronald, Kevin and Daniel (Sharyn) Dagle, Alexander (Georgina), Michael (Natalie) Thompson, Kara (Michael) Zozzaro, Brendan (Karen) Stack, Julie (Michael) Fritzinger, Kimmarie (Daniel) Keane, Karen (John) Daniels, Paula (Robert) Vass, Brian (Susan) Connelly, Molly and Katherine Stack, Colin (Kathleen) and Ryan (Cheri) Stack. Step–grandmother of Erin, Morgan and Ryan Murphy. Loving great–grandmother of Katie and Erin Dagle, Alexander, Zachary, Kieran, Reid, Isla and Quinn Thompson, Aubrey and Kelsey Zozzaro, Kayley and Daniel Stack, Ella and Olivia Fritzinger, Brennan Keane, Jonathan and Julia Vass, Sydney Daniels, Tyler Connelly, Elise Klund, Graham and Estella Stack, step-great grandmother of Maya Ruzzano. Beloved sister of the late John, Charles, Lawrence Gravelle and Mary Blackstone. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Anna was a member of the Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association, Women’s Guild at Corpus Christi Church, volunteered at the Campion Center in Weston, Pine Street Inn and Rosie’s Place. Her funeral was held from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte. 16), West Newton, on Monday, Nov. 7, followed by a funeral Mass in Corpus Christi Church, 39 Ash St., Auburndale. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
