Anna-Martorana-webNORTH READING — Anna M. (Festino) Martorana, 86, of North Reading, died Monday, July 18 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Martorana.

Anna was born in Boston on Dec. 2, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Raffaela (Bucci) Festino. She was a retired clerical worker for Butterworth Publishing Company in Stoneham. She has been a resident of North Reading for over 50 years.

Anna was a special person, who had many friends from bingo, neighbors and people she met everywhere. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, Joanne, and they took many trips to Las Vegas, Florida and also a cruise together.

Family members include her loving daughter, Joanne Martorana of North Reading. She was also survived by her sister, Mary Cormio of Medford. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Antonio Festino, Theodora Festino, Philomena Cerasuolo, Louise Festino and Angelina Bonanno. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Anna’s funeral was held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading, on Friday, July 22, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St. (Rt. 62), North Reading. Interment in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
