NASHUA, N.H. — Arnold K. Canner 81, of Nashua, N.H., formerly of Wakefield entered eternal rest Oct. 29.

Born in Boston, Mr. Canner resided in Wakefield for 41 years but has lived in Nashua for the past 12 years. He earned his education at Boston University with a BS in Business Administration and later received an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.

He worked for 18 years as a Director of Information for New England Nuclear – E.I. Dupont; he also worked at MA DEP, Transitron Corp, AGFA and Keene, Inc. In his retirement, he was a tax preparer for Bornstein & Sweatt, CPA, Manchester, N.H.

He was a member of Temple Emmanuel in Wakefield, the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, a U.S. Air Force Captain, as well as a treasurer and president of Michawanic Village Condo Association and a treasurer and vice president of Ledgewood Hills Condo Association. He also received the Computerworld Smithsonian Award, General Chairman 1972 New England Systems Seminar, McCormack & Dodge – Outstanding Employee Award Winner 1986, and was the winner of the Nashua Telegraph 2006 Culinary Delights Award.

Lastly, he was a gifted carpenter, electrician, plumber, wallpaperer and painter.

He was the devoted husband of Faith (Bornstein); beloved father of Jeffrey and his wife Hillary Canner, Debra Canner and her husband Joel Brody and Cheryl and her husband David Abelow; adored grandfather of Danielle, Arianna and Lauren Abelow and Benjamin and Joshua Canner; dear brother of Stephen Canner and Irving Canner.

Services at Temple Emmanuel, 120 Chestnut St., Wakefield on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. Interment at Temple Emmanuel Cemetery, Wakefield.

Condolence calls may be made at the home of Debra Canner and Joel Brody following the interment Tuesday until 7 p.m., Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 4-7 p.m.
