LYNNFIELD — Lillian “Queenie” Colucci (neé Blangio) passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was married to the late Carl Colucci for 35 years. Together they owned and operated Circle Bowl of Lynnfield.

She was mother to four loving and devoted children and their spouses: Richard and Jan Colucci, the late James R. Colucci, Joan and Thomas Lemberger and Robert and Beverly Colucci.

She was born in 1918 in Boston to Albert and Antoinetta (Cristoforo) Blangio. Lillian is predeceased by five siblings, John, Albert, Michael, Charles and Dorothy Capozzi. Lillian and her husband were predeceased by a son, James, in 1962 at the age of 15.

She is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Dane Lemberger; Lisa Nekoroski, wife of Matthew; Tara O’Shea, wife of James; and six great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Emma, Matthew and William Nekoroski, Isabella and Jamison O’Shea, all of Lynnfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lillian was also blessed to have three women she named her daughters-in-love: Charlotte Fitzpatrick, Georgeann DiBiccari and Debbie Capozzi.

Lillian was a loving and consummate cook. She had a passion for needlepoint and created many heirloom pieces. She was an avid crossword player and loved watching Jeopardy.

She brought so much joy to so many; to know her was to love her. Most of all, she loved being with people. She encountered many serious hardships but always looked at life on the bright side. She was a radiant exemplar of good life and her wisdom and advice benefited countless loved ones.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.

A Christian burial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield.
