NORTH READING — It’s hard to believe that it could be true, but it’s almost time for the kids to say goodbye to summer vacation and head back to school.

The first day of school for North Reading Public School students in grades 1 through 12 is Wednesday, Sept. 6. Pre-K and kindergarten orientation is Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 6 and 7 followed by the first day of classes for the town’s youngest students on Friday, Sept. 8.

Ensure that your family is prepared to have a great upcoming school year by picking up the Back-to-School edition of the Transcript next Thursday, Aug. 31.
