MELROSE — Beatrice (Bennett) Dinardi, 97, of Melrose died unexpectedly on June 29.
Beatrice was born and raised in Melrose and was a Melrose High School graduate, Class of 1937. She was a very proud to be a lifelong Melrose resident and was a member of St. Mary’s Church for many years.
She enjoyed traveling, was an avid gardener, a member of the Melrose Garden Club and was an amazing seamstress. Beatrice was a real lady, had a sweet soul and everyone loved her.
She worked as a bank teller for Baybank for many years and her family and friends were the most important part of her life.
Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Alfonce J. Dinardi for 29 years. She was the loving mother of Frances Dinardi of Hull and Patricia Meehan and her husband James of Melrose. She was the cherished grandmother of Deborah Johnson and her husband Jeffrey of Cohasset, David White and his wife Kim of Hanover, Nancy Doherty and her husband Shawn of Peabody, Joseph Meehan and his wife Jennifer of VA and Danielle Fox and her husband Robert of Mashpee. She was the great grandmother of Jake, Abbey, Lauren, Sarah, Michael, Bobby, Colleen, Andrew, Chloe and Ben. She was the caring sister of the late John F. Bennett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St., Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose at 10:30 a.m.
Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
