HARWICH — Bernadette Mary (Young) Conway, 92, died Oct. 20 in Harwich after a long illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 11, 1924 in West Petpeswick, Nova Scotia to Bernard and Florence Young.
She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Edward Conway and a son, Michael Conway. She leaves behind six children: Edward Conway Jr., James Conway, Anne Haglof, Stephen Conway, Eileen Rounds and Robert Conway, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Betty Conway resided in Wakefield for many years.
Betty and Edward were fortunate to fulfill a lifelong passion for travel to countless exotic places throughout the world. Upon retirement, they relocated to the beach in Naples, Fla. where they enjoyed many magical years that family and friends were grateful to have shared with them. Summers were spent with family on Keoka Lake in Waterford, Maine.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Ave., Chatham. Burial will be at a later date.
