MELROSE — Beverly A. (Mason) Miller, 74, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 26.

Born on March 25, 1942 in Melrose, she was one of four children of the late Raymond G. Sr. and Verna (Shaw) Mason.

Beverly worked in the transportation industry for over 30 years. Her work varied but she especially enjoyed driving for children with special needs whom she cared for as a mother. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cribbage, doing ceramics and caring for her many cats. Most of all, Bev loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with family at her sister’s lake house during the summer and annual outings to go apple picking and the Topsfield Fair. She will be missed but always remembered.

Beverly was the devoted mother of Norman C. Miller and his wife Kimberley of Huntington, W.V., Susan L. Miller of Nashua, N.H., and Richard E. Miller Jr. and his wife Michelle of Melrose. She was the dear sister of Raymond G. Mason of Florida and the late Valarie Traver and Susan L. Mason. She was the loving grandmother of Jason, Hayden, William, Ashley, Laura, James, Cameron, Scott and Mikayla. She was the great-grandmother of Nevaeh, Abel and Thomas.

Relatives and friends gathered in honor of Bev’s life for her memorial service at the First United Methodist Church, 645 Main St., Melrose on Saturday, July 16 at 1 p.m. For online tribute, RobinsonFuneralHome.com.
