MELROSE — The 7th Annual Wounded Veterans’ Motorcycle Charity Run will be this Sunday beginning in Revere at 1 p.m.

The popular ride brings motorcyclists into Melrose at Washington Street. The procession — often several thousand bikes long — is expected to arrive in the city before 1:30 p.m.

The bikes head down Washington Street to the Fellsway. From there, they turn right and head towards the intersection of Main Street and the Lynn Fells Parkway. The bikes then take a left onto Main, heading towards Greenwood.

Depending on the weather, there could be as many as 7,000 to 9,000 bikes.

All proceeds from the run benefit this year’s selected honorees: SSG Brandon Boyd, US Army; Sgt Josh Bouchard, US Marines; SSG Bre Sullivan, US Army; SSG Kenny Butler, US Army; CPL Paul Skarinka, US Army.
