WAKEFIELD — The discovery of a body in Lake Quannapowitt yesterday morning led to public concern after an area near the head of the Lake was blocked off by police for a time yesterday morning.

Police said that a passerby called police after discovering a body at the water’s edge about 9 a.m. yesterday. The deceased was identified as a 52-year-old Florida man who had been staying in this area temporarily.
