WAKEFIELD — Burl “Bud” Whelchel, 88, a longtime Wakefield resident of more than 50 years, died Thursday, June 25, in Melrose.
Born in Stafford, Kan. on Sept. 26, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Marie (Hawver) Whelchel.
