ObitPattle-webROCHESTER, N.H. — Carol Ann (Nutile) Pattle, 77, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, following a long illness, in Rochester, N.H.

Carol was born July 7, 1938 in Wakefield, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Larson) Nutile. She had been a longtime resident of Portland, Maine and enjoyed a lifetime of summers in Freedom, N.H., with families and friends.

Carol was a retired self-employed bookkeeper.

She loved the outdoors, gardening and cooking. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and kindness which would bring joy to all who would meet her. She had great love of animals and especially children, which was exemplified by her total love and devotion she had for her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Ian Pattle, of Portland, Maine and her former husband Ernie Boyd of Amesbury. She is survived by her loving children: sons David Boyd and wife Martha of Freedom, N.H., Randy Boyd and wife Rose of Peabody; her daughters Disa Boyd of Amesbury and Jill Boyd of South Portland, Maine. She was the cherished grandmother of Carley, Madelyn, Stanley, Imran, Kareem and Travis and the beloved sister of Dorothy Morford, Rollinsford, N.H. and her brother William Nutile of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A private burial service will be held for families and close friends later in the spring.
