WAKEFIELD — Carol C. Adams, 76, of Wakefield and formerly of Melrose, died on Wednesday, April 8, at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Born in Calais, Maine on Dec. 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lionel E. and Kathleen M. (Morrison) Morrison.

Mrs. Adams was raised and educated in Cambridge. She was a retired sales clerk at Bradlee’s in Dorchester. Mrs. Adams was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield.

She is survived by her daughter Vivian L. Tringale and her husband Joseph V. Jr. of Wakefield; her grandson Joseph S. Tringale; her two granddaughters; Gianna K. Tringale and Victoria G. Tringale; her two sisters, Sharon Gonsa of Tennessee and Donna Lewis of West Bridgewater and her brother Richard Morrison of Attleboro. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by her three brothers: James Morrison, Gordon Morrison and Buddy Morrison and her three sisters, Blanche Curtis, Vivian Mercuri and Elizabeth Gutro.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11 a.m.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on today, Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
