MELROSE — Carolyne Margie LaBombard, 73, passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on June 1.

Carolyne was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Dec. 29, 1942 to the late Thomas and Margery (Brewer) Dares. She was raised in Halifax and attended Dartmouth High School and spent one year at Halifax County Regional Vocational School, where she took a secretarial course. Mrs. LaBombard worked as a secretary at Batten Brothers Sign Company for 27 years. Carolyne had been a resident of Melrose since 1963.

Carolyne was the wife of the late Wilfred C. “Sonny” LaBombard. She was the loving sister of the late Joanne Lee dares. She was the last remaining family member of her immediate family. She was the dear friend of Constance Johnson of Stoneham; Margaret Scioli of Melrose; and the late Margaret Fale.

Carolyne’s funeral service was private. Inurnment will take place in the family plot at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home in Melrose.
