MELROSE — Sandra J. Rotondi, 70, passed away at Wingate at Melrose Nursing Home on June 2.
Sandra was born in Gloucester on March 21, 1946 to the late George and Marjorie L. (Jacobs) Rotondi. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1964 and had been a lifelong resident. Miss Rotondi worked as a secretary at a bank in Boston for eight years and at Waste Management for 10 years. She also worked as a receptionist at Harborside Nursing Home in Wakefield for a few years. Sandra enjoyed taking trips to Ogunquit, Maine, reading, horseback riding, playing bingo and going to Foxwoods. She was an avid New England Patriots fan.
Sandra was the sister of George W. Rotondi III and his wife Cheryl of Middleton. She was the aunt of Jessica Rotondi and Jaclyn Ruberti. She was the great aunt of Chase, Cameron and Lilyana Ruberti. Also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services were private. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home in Melrose.
