Lynnfield 14-year-olds top Haverhill 7-3 in championship

HAVERHILL — The Lynnfield 14-year old travel baseball team won its area title on Aug. 5 as they beat host Haverhill 7-3 at Trinity Stadium. Lynnfield was 0-3 against top-seed Haverhill heading into that game.

Pioneers win two summer football tournaments

LYNNFIELD — Members of the LHS Pioneer football team came together this summer and had a successful end of July, winning two tournaments.

The Pioneers won the “Battle for Interstate 95” hosted in Lynnfield which included Peabody, Triton Regional and Poland Regional (Maine).

LHS Cross Country captain’s practices underway

Members of the Lynnfield High cross country program are currently having captain’s practices at the high school every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 a.m. Runners will typically run 2-4 miles a day.

Call for walkers: Register for the 31st annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk

BOSTON — Registration is now open for the 2019 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, which raises the most money of any single day walk in the country. Scheduled for Sunday, September 22, funds raised from the Jimmy Fund Walk will support all forms of adult and pediatric patient care
